Incanda and Woodenways join forces

posted under Press Release on 01 Sep 2010

imagePeople often ask why two businesses from the Cape and the North decided to work together.  There is more than one compelling reason:

Already after their first meeting, Gerhard and Werner, the owners of Incanda and Woodenways respectively, realised there are similarities in their business philosophy.  And after a few more flights between Cape Town and Gauteng, a co-operation agreement was formalised in order to exploit the shared business philosophy as well as other synergistic advantages.

Firstly the business philosophy:  Both men are passionate about furniture.  Both have built very successful businesses over the past 10 years, with a fanatical focus on superior quality products which is accompanied by unsurpassed pre- and aftersales service.  This shared philosophy forms the basis for their co-operation

And then the synergistic advantages: Incanda, with their own factory in Paarl, is well entrenched in manufacturing.  Although they can easily service the Cape clients, it has over time become problematic to service their growing market in the North.  Woodenways again, has a very strong distribution network through their shops in Pretoria and Bethal and easily service all the Northern Provinces.
Therefore the logical step is for Incanda to keep its focus on the manufacturing side and incorporate Woodenways to help with distribution and client care services in the Northern Provinces.  Incanda will continue to service the Western-, Eastern- and Northern Cape from the Paarl factory and showroom.

Our vision for the future:  Werner and Gerhard have a vision of building the two brands to become the most respected suppliers of high quality furniture in the country.  Under no circumstances will we deviate from our simple recipe of good quality products and good service.

So watch this space!
